E-Cloth General Purpose Cloth Review

The E-cloth General Purpose Cloth is one of my most favorite cleaning tools ever! It is a high-quality microfiber cloth that can tackle dozens of jobs around the house. I use mine many times throughout the day. I keep one in the kitchen for wiping off the table and counters. There’s one in each bathroom for quickly wiping away toothpaste or soap messes and (gasp!) other bathroom-y things. I’ll never go back to using a regular washcloth in the shower, not even when I’m traveling–I take my own. I use them at work because I’m a cleaning lady and it makes my job easy and fun. In fact, I use my general purpose e-cloths so much that I almost overlooked the opportunity to tell you about them because I take them for granted. They are like an extension of my hand.

Ways to use the E-cloth General Purpose Cloth:

  • Kitchen counters
  • Bathroom fixtures
  • Remove carpet stains
  • Clean mildew from bathroom ceiling and walls
  • Wipe spots off of the floor
  • In the shower (on yourself)
  • Remove make-up
  • Clean a child’s “spaghetti face” without tears
  • Dusting
  • Cleaning outdoor furniture
  • Cleaning make-up brushes
  • Lots of other ways

Things I love about them:

  • They come in a variety of colors so I can assign a different color for each task
  • They last a long time – three years and they are still amazing!
  • They make great gifts – very much appreciated by the recipients
  • They feel good in my hand
  • Excellent value – I have not found comparable quality in the same price range
  • Easy to care for – Use over and over without needing to wash, just rinse and hang
  • They have a loop for hanging
  • E-cloth has regular 2 for 1 sales with new colors
  • No need for chemicals; they work with just water
  • They remove over 99% of all bacteria from hard surfaces
  • They are absorbant
  • They work on grease
  • Great for people with allergies
  • Three-year guarantee

Things I don’t love:

  • Sorry, I cannot think of anything.
  • Okay. I thought of one. You can’t wash them with bleach or fabric softener, but I don’t use either one so that’s not a big deal for me.

I wish I had used a better camera.

I assume this was coke syrup on the floor:

See what I mean? It’s so easy with just water and e-cloth!

  1. Hi Theresa,
Thank you so much for sharing this amazing microfiber cloth.
I have several cloth in my kitchen, but after using for a period of time, they are getting black..slippery.. and cannot wipe my kitchen stuff clean..
I think i need to check and try the microfiber cloth you recommend. Hope that works for me. Thanks!

  2. Thank you, Theresa, I just made a purchase.

For that it’s worth, I am a single dad, and you hooked mw on the “toothpaste messes” discussion and the bath stains contributed as well.

I can’t wait to make cleaning these stains easier and am looking forward to my ecloth coming in.

    Thanks again.

    • Yay! You’ll love it. Your kids will love cleaning windows with the window cloths and they won’t even know they are doing chores. Keep that in mind if you go shopping for more. Thanks for stopping by! Theresa

  3. Theresa,
I use them dusting around the house. I do throw them in the wash when they look dirty. I also have a few for cleaning my classic car. It will not damage the paint and does a great job keeping the interior clean.
They do last a long time if you wash them properly and do not use bleach products with them.
I do not like to use them on glass as they do not do as well on glass, what do you recommend for cleaning glass, I have used old newspaper with good results, is there another product that works without leaving streaks.

    • Hi, John. Using microfiber on your classic car sounds perfect! I use it on my old clunker. 🙂 As for windows, if you click the link above to get to e-cloth you can search for the window cleaning set. If you have lots of glass, I would suggest getting an extra set of polishing cloths because they remove the moisture that causes streaks and you’ll need to use them dry. That’ll be my next review, but I talk about windows in a previous post. Thanks for stopping by! Theresa

  4. Wow, good to know! I want to get more eco friendly and non toxic with my cleaning supplies. These seem like great options, and since you’re a cleaning lady, I’m sure you know what you’re talking about! If/ when I get these, I want to order them here. Do you know if they’re available online to Canadians?

    • I believe that you can order online and have items sent to Canada, but you won’t get free shipping. If you have any problems, you can email me and I can send you things. I also sell them in a small shop locally and have limited inventory.

  5. Hello Theresa,
We are using this one for cleaning etcetera.Smooth textile and also very useful in everyday living.Thank you for sharing this.Keep up the good work.

  6. Thanks for the tip, looks like a great product. I like the idea of having them in different parts of the house for different jobs.

  7. This is a great article really, when you mentioned carrying it all with you I thought to myself…why don’t I do that….lol I personally spend a lot of time setting things down then looking for them when I need them again. When I used to work cleaning at a nursing home though it was all on one cart…funny how you don’t take these ideas home with you. Great advice and I really will practice this.
